Bought keystation 49e on sale at CompUSA going out of business and have spent too much time trying to get ti to work. Please understand that I: 1) am a software developer, know hardware, have worked through all your knowledgebase references to keyboard 49e several time; also have been working with MIDI for about 20 years. In other words, I have really worked for a solution but failed.
- my Soundblaster Audiology Advanced MB drivers and bundled software and nothing else delivered with my Dell XPS 1530 offer NO abilithy to either select input from a MIDI device OR select a specific MIDI channel (I note that Roland provices the MIDI capabilities for my sound chip -- but no references on how to interface.
The documetnation on Keystation 49e is understandably sketchy, not able to cover all possible sound chips, drivers and software -- and I honestly have no idea how to proceed at this point. I have done all the tracing I possibly can at this point.
If you have checked the M-audio keystation is not working on other computers, I suspect you need to confirm with the man who sold the keystation to you. Make sure you brought a good one instead of hardware broken keystation.
I realize this is a bigger issue than only the Keystation. I'm plugged into a Surface Dock which has a Focusrite audio interface attached via ASIO. That's what I normally use. When I need to go mobile though, I need to change the driver mode to Wasapi Shared every time and then "jiggle" things in CW Preferences until sound happens. It's always hit and miss.
These packages allow you to use M-Audio'sUSB MIDI and Audio interfaces with Linux. These devices require a firmware downloadbefore an operating system driver (e.g. ALSA'ssnd-usb-audio) can access them.
I bought a new M-Audio Keystation 49es (for doing notation via MIDI over USB), which comes with a license for Ableton Live Lite. So figured I'd test that first, using the M-Audio for triggering & getting sound out of Ableton Live 9 Lite, which worked perfectly fine. Note: No manual installation of drivers was required (this keyboard is 'class compliant' and Windows 10 installed what it needed the first time the M-Audio was connected).
I tried the above procedure, and input option was still not available. The second time I couldn't even select the API or device. Then we updated MuseScore and it will open, then close, and I can't even get to the program. My keyboard will come through on Ableton Live 10 Lite, but I cannot use it in Musescore. I'm thinking a driver may be needed.
In addition to driver download and update, Drive Talent is equipped with far more premium features, such as drivers restore, drivers uninstall, system restore, drivers pre-download for another PC, PC Repair (no sound, no video, no Wi-Fi etc.), hardware detection, VR support check and PC speed up, etc.
You mean Ubuntu on PC? Find out which kernel modules are needed and send a PR with changes to the kernel config (like ) and wait for update or DIY the kernel with our build tools. And device should work. It could also be the issue, that legacy 4.4.y kernel is too old and drivers or just this hw IDs are missing. 2ff7e9595c
